Craig, excellent fence examples within the landscape. I love the clever title of your last image, “Return to Sender.” Nice. “Weatherworn and Windblown” is a beautiful image and one of my favorites. Other favorites, “The Fenceline” and “Overflow” are well composed beautiful captures as well. I love the colors and mood of “Overflow.” Very nice! The snowy “Western Civilization” is another interesting image with a telling title. Nice. Shame on me, I couldn’t identify the bird on the wire in your untitled image—very nice image. Thank you for sharing these beautiful images Craig.

I have shot a lot of places where I distinctly recall seeing fences around and am amazed at how well I avoided getting any of them in my images. Nice for what I had in mind at the time but not so much for this task topic

I used to go shoot the buildings in Cisco a lot back in the past. Unfortunately, it has changed and since then some artist community has basically ruined all the old structures, re-painted them, or torn them down... in the name of "art." I guess they like it, but I prefer abandoned and dilapidated old buildings. Same thing now happening in Thompson Springs. I'm lucky I got what I got over the last 25 years.

Alan, the cabin in Grand Teton NP is a beautiful image, my favorite, possessing a rustic charm. Similarly the Kestner Homestead evokes times long past. I like this composition. All the Portland Gardens images are well composed—fences and all! The Newton Drury parkway is nicely bordered by the fence—very nice. Jameel, three unique “fence” landscapes you’ve shared, each distinctly different in color or season. I love the La Sal autumn composition with the fence adding the perfect foreground border. Beautiful capture! The IR-colored pond is a unique edit—very nice! I love the neighborhood winter scene composition with the fence providing the perfect interest “anchor“—my favorite. Jeffrey, love your fence landscapes! The first image, my favorite, the Dolomites is a compelling composition of the majestic peaks rising from the green countryside below. The fence guides the eye into this perfect image. The B&W Tetons image is another beautiful and strong composition. I especially like the fence’s diagonal framing aiding the composition. The snowy Burr Trail barn landscape is another appealing image—love the limited color of the brown wood of the barn and fence against the white snow. The B&W graveyard image is another strong composition of diagonals and shadows. Very nice. Thank you for sharing each of these Jeffrey.
