This one will be a popular one. As landscape photographers, skies and clouds are something we all aspire to capture.

Here are some from my collection. Trying to not overdo it.

Wow! I love each gorgeous landscapes—or “skyscapes”—you shared! All are perfect compositions with wonderful colors. Perhaps my most favorite is the Trillium Lake image, captured with minimal light but still revealing the bank of silhouetted trees and their reflection in the lake, the peak beyond and most importantly the memorable night sky. Love this! Other favorites are the Mt. Rainier, the Ensign Peak, and the Anchorage, AK images—gorgeous skies captured in each. Another most favorite is the Fall in the Tetons image with its wonderful autumn colors, reflections—and of course the beautiful sky! Thanks for sharing all these “skyscapes” with us today Jameel!

Alan, I really like the Hidden Lake image—love this composition and its layering. Very nice! The Death Valley image is also well composed with the beautiful sunrise occupying most of the frame with the beautiful stony layers beneath. Gorgeous! The sunset at the Cascade Locks is an image with a limited color palette (a good thing!) with the reflected color adding to the beautiful composition. The Vancouver Lake panorama is another special “skyscape”—very well composed. And your last image of the sunrise over Mt. St. Helens is a wonderful image of memorable colors captured. Thank you sharing each of these images Alan—you did good!

Larry, beautiful images you have shared with us today—and thank you for sharing! I love the Taos, NM clouds capture—an awesome cloud formation you captured! I also favor the Trout Lake image too—love these clouds atop the snowy majestic mountains. The hillside of autumn trees adds to the perfect composition. Speaking of autumn colors—the Crested Butte composition works well with the complementary color contrast of autumn oranges and sky blues. Gorgeous! But the B&W image of Mt. Blanco is a perfect image—no color needed! Thank you for sharing these beautiful compositions with us Larry!
