Lichens are ubiquitous in the environment. Their colors often provide significant impact in an image, whether it be a close-up or a landscape. Show us your favorite lichen image.

This is going to be a tough one. Lichen is something that's very interesting but I think I have only shot it a few times. I am going to have to do some real digging!

This is from the Apostle Islands. I went into the folder to pick a photo just to process and then I realized there was lichen on the rocks! So I found one of the closer images I took and processed it. Shooting from a moving ship didn't allow me to have my normal splashing water shutter speed, but it's still kind of cool I think.

Interesting topic and a nice selection of images. I am away from home so don't have access to my collection. I am sure I have some that fits this topic.
