This is really sweet Larry! Framing the mittens with trees is something that goes back many many years in my photographic experience. And of all of the framings I have seen, I don't recall ever seeing this one that you got. So great job framing West Mitten like this.

Thanks Jim for the nice comments and narrative. This image was taken many year ago using a Rollieflex SL66 and the 50mm lens. You could drive into Monument Valley and did not have to pay or have a guide back then. A lot has changed since then.

No only is the B&W well in place and well executed: the overall layout and proportions of the picture are excellent as well.
