Trona Pinnacles Milky Way

On my way back to Colorado, my first stop was at the Trona Pinnacles for the Milky Way. I was running a bit late to get out on the road, but we had a family night at my sisters Suite at Angels Stadium. It was an awesome game, and we got free Mandalorian and Grogu Jerseys. But going to it, delayed my trip by a couple of days. Though I wouldn't have given it up, as I really enjoy the family times with my 2 sisters and their kids.

The moon set at about the same time as the Milky Way rose on Monday, so that worked out nice anyway. This is a 3 shot Horizontal pano.

PS. Timelapses are coming
PSS. The person in the left corner is not me, but someone else out there capturing the Milky Way. I usually get rid of people in my photos, but for once I thought I would leave him in for scale and also a tiny little treasure when spotted.

That's a gorgeous MW arch!

It never fails, whoever I think I have an area to myself, another photographer shows up and decides to shoot very close to me instead of finding his own shot! We humans are strange.

The other photographer would blend right in if it weren't for the small light near the camera. Nice pano stitch.
Thanks Alan! He is holding his cell phone, which I dimmed a bit as it was pretty bright. But the brightest thing I had to remove, he had what seemed like a 6" display panel that was glowing super bright. It was a control for the Benro Polaris tracking tripod.

I really appreciate that Michael! I used to always forget to shoot pano's, but I have been trying to always get a few pano's in.

I have noticed that too. Last month it was a group of 12 people in a workshop coming out to the exact spot I was in. The person who hung out in the spot where I was at, was actually pretty good and considerate about stray light, so I was happy for that. And he was a very nice guy, which they aren't always.

As to your point though, I can't tell you the number of times I won't see a photographer pulled over for miles while driving, it will be on roads with a shoulder or lots of pullouts. But the minute I pull over? Withing 60 seconds I have 2 cars that have pulled in behind me. It's like people can decide on their own, they just stop where they see someone else stopped.
