Trona Pinnacles Shines at Night!

Well, the stars shine! The person that decided to capture the Milky Way next to me commented just how bright it was there at night. I am not sure this is correct, but it always felt correct to me. This is what I told him.

The darker the skies are, the brighter the stars are. So even without a moon to light up the ground, we have a billion points of light in the sky shining down on us. So even without the moon, it's bright enough on the ground that headlamps are not needed to see.

So this is from Trona Pinnacles 2 weeks ago. This one is a single frame from my Nikon D850.

Nice composition, Jim. And the processing is not as "hot" as you often like to make it.
If the person next to you is used to looking at the sky from a coastal area, the humidity will also make it so the stars are not as bright or defined.
