Two from today

I really like the nighttime shot - very dynamic light with the long exposure on the traffic and it works really well as a comp. You have a good vantage point for that scene.

The lower foreground in the second image doesn't quite work for me as it doesn't really do much of anything for the scene above.

Thanks guys. I was not really happy with either shot, but I figured they were worth posting. The second one was earlier in the day and I had hoped to take pics from farther left and do light trails showing a much wider view of the city and down the highway, but I only had my larger camera and lenses and the holes in the fence were too narrow to shoot through the darn fencing from the bridge so I just took a quick snap from adjacent to the bridge (where there was no fence). When I shot the first one, the clouds had moved in and the sky kind of sucked, but I tried anyway as I had not had time to get out and shoot in a while so I just tried to make something decent. Anyway, the second pic is already quite a crop. I crop it further as suggested and then show you the original, lol. I really was not intending to do anything with this, but I liked the sky/clouds so I figured it was worth posting.

The pano crop definitely helps the daytime image. It's hard to make a ground level freeway interesting during the day. It is a nice skyline/cloud scene.

Hey Stephen, #1 is really special with the lights on the buildings and the streaking cars. I do also like #2 with those clouds and soft light. I had the opposite take on it from Ben, I was actually wishing there was just a little more at the bottom to show a little more of the traffic, I think that could make for a nice anchor on the photo.

Hmm, I guess I hadn’t scrolled down far enough or I had forgotten to press refresh from when I first viewed it because I hadn’t seen the edit and the original of #2 when I commented.

so looking at it, I think Bens suggestion was the best one, I think that crop works well. I do think the clouds and light in #2 make it a worthy photo.
