Two tiny birds

Away from the ice and snow of Saskatchewan I am enjoying walking and birding in Vancouver and Nanaimo B.C.
The Magnolia trees are in full bloom and seem to attract a few Ruby-crowned Kinglets. I was not able to get a picture of one displaying the red crown but still they are pretty sweet with the Magnolia flowers in the background.

This Pacific Wren is a new species for me. It was in an old growth forest in a nature reserve in Nanaimo B.C. They are a tiny bird with a big sound.

Great shots of these little critters. I have seen the the bird in the first image before in our backyard but I have never had a good view of the Pacific Wrens like this.

Great shots of 2 birds I've never seen. The wren is very similar to our native wren, but you can see slight differences.

Thanks Jim. We are in Tofino for a few more days then I am on to Kamloops to visit friends and back to Slocan to visit my daughter then back home by the end of April to hopefully come back to no snow and ice.!
