These 2 are some fine photos to post from Valley of Fire. I used to shoot there a lot and one of the things that I really enjoyed was the spectrum of color there, especially the cyan that can show up in contrast to those oranges and reds.
Both of these are really good, but for me #1 really stands out. I am really liking those the curves and the colors in it.

Delightful textures and colors caught here. I, too, favor the 1st.

One of my favorite places in VoF - Kaolin Wash (A.K.A. Pastel or Pink Wash). I like the first image since it feels more like a composed subject. The second one is a colorful shot that has a nice leading line up the wash but the scene up the wash doesn't really have a compelling focal point.
