Vermont Countryside

Exposure looks fine to me. I might crop into the center to make the farm buildings and nice cumulus clouds behind more prominent.

I think it's too dark for the afternoon. The shadows are darker then they would be. The sky seems fine. I like the image though, what a cool countryside to get to drive through on the way to work.

Another nod to lifting the shadows and mid tones a bit. Very typical Vermont countryside.

Following Jim D's and others' suggestion I cropped in tighter on the farm and lifted the shadows a tad. I definitely like the result. Thoughts?

Thanks Jim, it is a pretty state to drive around in. I'm having fun exploring when I can :)

Indeed, this is quintessential Vermont. There are red barns and silos everywhere! I grew up just an hour and a half away in New Hampshire and we do the red barn thing too but not as much as Vermont...New Hampshire has a more rugged, wild vibe, perhaps owing to all the granite rocks in our mountains and the "live free or die" motto. Vermonters are gentle people in a gentle landscape. They promote a sense of community, general good will and progressiveness. It's suiting me right now.

I like the edit - a much nicer view of the farm houses/structures that give this image it's New England charm.
