Vestrahorn and Grassy Dunes

Hey Bob, those clouds are perfect for using an ND and getting cloud movement. Good choice there. I like this beach with those grasses.

You are definitely setting a very standard Bob for me when I get to Iceland. I have to do a bit more research but I am penciling May or June of next year. You were there the last 2 weeks in June? Did you have specific reasons as to why you chose those 2 weeks?

Incredible shot. I sure hope you have a lot of wall space for some of these images you scored.
Thanks Alan - This has been fun going through. You know when you go on one of these trips, you get a little anxiety along the lines of "what if I don't get anything". Even then before I loaded the images to my computer I was thinking maybe the light was just so so. Then you start to look and process and get some satisfaction. Thanks so much . . . more to come!

Jim - thanks so much. I was there for just one week 6/16-23. It was chosen only because it was the best week for myself and the friend photographer I traveled with. In hindsight, it's a great time to go. The light is never ending and you can visit iconic, normally crowded, sites after 9pm and find no one there. The good light starts about that time and lasts for hours!

That's good to know, there is an appeal to it not being crowded at night for sure!

If you don't mind, what did you fly there on and how much was that?

Well, you might not get much help from me here. I first flew to Amsterdam for a weeks visit for my day job before flying to Iceland. The total cost was like $1400 on a combo of Delta and Icelandair. But I get the cost of Iceland round trip is much less than that. Check Icelandair and WOW airlines.
