View from Cottonwood Pass

Mid-June on Cottonwod Pass last year and there is still lots of snow. I can remember years when the pass did not open until after the 4th of July.

That is a lot of snow still for mid June. It is cool I think when the snow lasts that long.

Thanks Jameel for your comments, appreciated. The summit of Cottonwood pass is over 12,000 feet and I remember in past years when the pass opened on or after the 4th of July and the summit was snow packed.
