Phalaropes have an interesting feeding routine where they swim around in circles stirring up the water and supposedly bringing morsels of food up to the surface.
This Red-necked Phalarope is in non-bredding plumage. You can see a small item of food in its bill.

Fascinating feeding routine - I would not have guessed at the dance from the still images. Neat markings on this bird.
