I have finally processed these images from Skye. This was a hike along the Allt Dearg Mor ( big red burn / stream )

. It should be a morning location but the rain stopped in the late afternoon so I gave it a go, despite the wind gusting to 50mph. The images are very busy but I couldn't find any way to simplify them and in the end they give a good view of this location on Skye. Ken

I like the scenes as you processed them and #2 in particular. Just the right light on the clouds and the distant peak with a good view of the stream as it winds its way down to the falls.

I am posting a Series of Photos I took on a trip to Feather Falls in Oriville, California. 1st 2 are of the top of the falls 3rd one is from the other side looking at the falls, a 400' drop into the canyon
That's a scary looking drop-off with the view from the top and quite a serious flow coming over those cliffs. Impressive set of falls.

Sweet! I've been to Phantom Falls, but this one looks awesome. How recent was this?
Dan, Time flies, this was 5 years ago. Didn't think it was that long ago. The entrance is on the backside of Lake Oroville, it is a great Hike, about 9+ miles in and out. There is a campground near the entrance so if you are so inclined you can camp the night to do the hike early. Takes about 45 min to drive to the trailhead from the hotels by the Casino.

Roger, that seals it for me. Like I said, I did Phantom Falls last Spring. I'll cue up my BIL & plan for a trip. Hope the rainfall cooperates

I'm in San Jose, BIL is in Livermore. We've both got some weddings queue up but can carve something out. When was your shots taken?

I think March is the best time of year. snow levels melting and waterfall is usually pretty impresive this time of year. A lot cooler for the longer hike, can get a little dicey when the temps are in the upper 90s. I want to say there is about 800' of elevation gain and most of it is on the way back. There is a couple of other flows on the hike and that time of year a fair amount of Flowers along the trail.
