Good morning - time for another round of waterfalls. I am going to focus on the area around Shepperd's Dell with some fall images. The waterfalls are somewhat steep and the little hollow where this is doesn't leave a lot of room to get a good view.

One from the pathway:

And one from the bridge:

Just up the road a few hundred yards is a small stream I shot through an arch in the stone guardrails along the highway:

Add on your own waterfalls if you wish.

Hey Alan,

I like your 2nd waterfall shot the best. But your #3 is funny, because as I scrolled down, I thought it was cool how you got part of the waterfall in the arch under the cool looking walkway. Only after reading what you wrote and then looking closer did I realize that it was indeed the guardrail and not some stone bridge....

Figured I would take a break from NC waterfalls, and post a couple of shots of a slightly (ahem) more known waterfall, Yosemite Falls....

Hey Stephen,

This is a little more well known! I like your B&W the best, I think many of us can identify with shooting longer shots to get those trees silhouetted against the falling water. Nice work.

That's actually the guardrail all along parts of the Historic Columbia River Highway. The bottom of the frame is cutting off the asphalt of the roadway.

Just about every waterfall I shoot is a several second exposure. Your picture really proves a much quicker exposure can work . Nice photo
