Good morning - time for another Wednesday waterfall fest. Hope you still have some images left to add.

I am going too start this off with a pair from Mt. Rainier's Paradise Creek along the Wonderland Trail but also right next to the road to Paradise - Narada Falls. Don't try to get a clean image of this place on a summer weekend - this is a very popular roadside attraction.

The terrain around Mt. Rainier is all volcanic debris so either layers of ash and rock or basalt with the one common feature that everything is steep. Basalt makes for some really nice cascades when the water flows are low like it is in the fall season.

Narada Falls is in a tight space so getting a full images of the falls is best done as two images starting near the top:

And the lower portion:

Add more falls to the thread if you have some.

Alan, I keep wanting to rotate the 1st image vertically! You probably wanted to keep the bridge at the top in the frame, but the bottom of the frame is such a teaser for wanting to see more of the falls.

Here's one from the trek into the Subway last week. Water flows were low (at least compared to February, when the slabs were completely covered in rushing water), but there were nice drips.

Thanks for posting this Alan, here is another view of Narada, I had already planned on it before seeing yours. Anyway, different enough I hope.
Quite different - you shot them in direct sunlight with more water falling and from a vantage point to take in the whole falls. I didn't want the skies in the frame since the falls were in the shade so I used shooting locations that would let me avoid that.

I like the low flows - much more interesting to shoot.

I like this Wednesday treat. Here's one of Spruce Flat Falls in the Smokies...
Those are some nice falls.

Here is Geitafoss in Northern Iceland...
I am always amazed at the color of the water in Iceland.

Hey Monika, wow, I love this! The detail, and the B&W here really brings out the detail in this, is really super.

So you went to the Subway last week? Hopefully you will share more shots from there in their own threads as you get them processed.

Does the world really need to see yet another Subway shot? Or Narrows? It was a lot of fun, but I didn't do anything different (I don't think)
