My waterfall image for today is a shot of the top portion of Upper Kentucky Falls from late October. Always amazing to get to a place like this and have it entirely to yourself. There was one family there when I got to the trailhead and they were just hiking out when I started down the trail to the falls.

Here's a shot from Wahkeena Falls in the Columbia River Gorge. A favorite place to visit as you can get nice views right beside the parking area, but many more the further up the trail you go. A one mile hike with 1000 feet of elevation gain brings you to the superb Fairy Falls.

Always a favorite set of waterfalls. That trail up to Fairy Falls has some brutal grades if you are carrying a lot of camera gear.

It's fun seeing all the ways Mother Nature plays with falling water Nice set. I have caught Latourell falls doing this on days with strong Gorge winds.

Sweet shot of this set of falls Ken - I love shooting falls during a period of low water flows so we get to see more details of the cascading water. My favorite is the last shot showing more of the delicate steps in the rocks behind the water as it falls.
