Decided to see what I could do reworking an old shot of Myrtle Falls in Mt. Rainier National Park. Afternoon light in particular can be downright nasty for getting the falls and Mt. Rainier into the same frame given the range of light in the scene. Taken on a late September afternoon with quite a bit of wildfire smoke in the air between the falls and the peak. This rework cleaned up better than my previous efforts.

Invermoriston, In Gaelic River Moriston translates as River of Waterfalls. This is shot in high summer with very low water levels plus a hydro power station restricts water flow. I have posted images from here, this is a previously unposted small waterfall. Loch Ness is about 1/4 mile behind me. Ken

Neat looking falls Ken - and the name of the river suggests lots more falls along its path. I like the angular rock formations its flowing through in this shot.

I think the wildfire smoke helped to knock down the highlights for you. Good job processing this one!

Thanks - in the original RAW capture the area below the footbridge and the bottom of the frame was almost black and the mountain was so hazy it was hard to make out. It wasn't the best day to be there shooting at all but I wasn't going to leave empty handed.

I love these falls. Never been there myself but have seen some really nice shots of the place and this one is amongst them. Good one!
thanks. i was never crazy about this one because of the two trees dividing the frame. but i'm not climbing down there again. 😂

This is from the Mt Baker area in late winter/early spring. Not a named waterfall or even a waterfall after all the snow has meted. The shape has a appropriate 'arrow' pointing where the water is flowing :)

Convent it made the shape of an arrow. Otherwise we might not have known which way it was flowing :p

Nice find even if it was name deprived.
