Falling water can be a beautiful thing and almost always offers up photographic opportunities. If you have any images of water demonstrating obedience to gravity this is the place to show it off.

My filing water for this week is a small unnamed set of falls alongside the Oregon Coast Trail between the Seal Cove parking area and Secret Beach. The creek doesn't have a name either but it flows into Miller Creek that feeds Secret Beach Falls.

Last week in Deepdale. From the same valley as last weeks waterfall post. I have been experimenting with reducing polarisation to make the wet rocks sparkle a bit.

I wanted to move a bit to the left but the rocks were dangerously slippery so I walked about 100yds downstream where it was easier to cross the stream and came back up to about 6ft from the previous shooting point to get this

I think I prefer the view in the first image although the second one gives a wider context for these falls. 100 yards to get 6 feet downstream sounds unique but if it keeps you from falling while getting another view of water falling that's a Good Thing(TM) :)

Another view of Panther Creek Falls in Washington State, this one taken from the original upper viewpoint. This constructed viewing platform was relocated a few meteres away after a fatal fall from it a few years ago. I don't know if it's any safer, but the view is not nearly as good as the original placement.

There was a lot of access to these falls and the surrounding area that got revamped/restricted in recent years that really dampened my enthusiasm for visiting them. The viewing planform change was certainly one of them. I do like that they added the new lower viewing platform however as the old "path" wasn't particularly safe.
