My falls for today are from a visit to Shepperd's Dell in the Columbia River Gorge last August. Right after I got a Canon R5 MkII mirrorless camera I decided I wanted to see how well in body image stabilization worked. The only lenses I had at the time were all for the DSLR camera bodies so I couldn't get the full benefits of Canon's image stabilization but the feature still made a very notable difference in what I could do with handheld waterfall images. This was shot at 1/6s with an EF 24-105mm f/4 L lens. I haven't gone back up to shoot these falls recently but with an RF 24-105mm f/4 L I should be able to handhold even longer exposures for shots like this.

Pile on with whatever you have showing falling water.

This is Munra Falls, a fun little falls that you pass by on the hike out to Wahclella Falls in the Columbia River Gorge. The camera is pointed straight up in this image, as the water is pouring over a vertical rock wall right beside the trail.

Alan, I am beginning to run out of waterfall photos. The winged Wednesday folks can always just walk outside and find new birds to photograph, but having to find 52 waterfalls images per year is becoming a hardship.

Nice shot of these falls Michael - this scene is very difficult to shoot with direct sunlight on the falls. Your early morning Gorge visit habit pays off for this one.

Bummer about running out waterfalls. I have probably been overly obsessed with shooting them as I have been posting waterfalls every week for over 7 years now and still have thousands of unprocessed captures to go :p
