Waterfall Wednesday 5/7/2025

My falls for today are an unnamed drop along the Sweet Creek trail. From a visit last fall.

Post whatever you have that looks like falling water.

This is Panther Creek, Washington, about 100 feet upstream of the big drop.

Shot earlier today on a local stream. It hasn't rained here for 5 weeks and the forecast is for at least another 2 weeks of no rain but this little stream flows out of a small lake so some water is still flowing. Ken

One of my favorite scenes near those falls. Last time I was there this area was closed off due to too many people (like me) wandering off the trails to shoot scenes like this

I like this delicate flow for a scene like this one. Lots more detail than a monster firehose of water roaring through. Great light with the trees in full leaf too.

This was taken from the trail at 70mm. No need to go off trail to shoot this, although as you said, some people do anyway.

Montello, WI First waterfalls for the year for me. These are also the closest falls to my house. Comes down to easy trip and no ice or snow (unlike the U.P.)

This was taken from the trail at 70mm. No need to go off trail to shoot this, although as you said, some people do anyway.

I used to go over to that area when there were few established trails. When I saw that upstream had been cordoned off due to erosion I left that habit behind. Unfortunate as I have scored some really nice shots from upstream.

Beautiful and delicate flows coming over these cascades. I love your shutter speed choice in both of these images.
