Time for more falling water. My offering for today is from a spring visit to Sweet Creek in the Oregon Coast range. Typical spring flows down this creek can get somewhat unruly compared to the more tame and delicate falls in autumn after the dry season but I never pass up a chance to visit this creek if I am passing through the Florence area.

Pile on with whatever you have depicting falling water:)

Phone v camera waterfall shots. I have an iphone 14 pro and this is using the 3* lens approx 77mm ff equivalent. The later iphones have a longer lens and a better sensor but the quality here is ok given that the camera shots are from an A7R4. Both are on a tripod with remote releases.

Phone using slow shutter app 4s

A7R4, Tamron 28-200 @66mm 1/4s giving slightly more fine detail in the moving water

Overall The phone produces pretty good images. Ken

Interesting comparison - the iPhone does a surprisingly good job with this task although there are quite a few details in the scene where the Sony easily outshines the iPhone. Especially apparent in the colors and details of the ferns flanking the falls.

Nice falls BTW.

Another ephemeral water fall
This was located on the same cliff face as the previous.

These were present just towards the end of the good waterfall flows, like Yosemite & Bridleveil
