My falls for today are a small scene along McDonald Creek not far from McDonald Falls in Glacier National Park.

Oh my - these are some pretty serious falls. I love all the tiers and cascades on the twin branches of the upper falls in this frame. I could easily spend quite a bit of time shooting around this scene.

This is almost like an abstract with the chosen shutter speed and it works quite well for this small scene.

Oh my - these are some pretty serious falls. I love all the tiers and cascades on the twin branches of the upper falls in this frame. I could easily spend quite a bit of time shooting around this scene.

It was powerful, Alan. To get to the vantage spot in the image, you have to hold on to a rope tied between a tree and rock off the left side to navigate steep and slippery slopes. Dad and I didn’t stay long because mom was waiting in the parking lot.

Very hard to argue with the light you get by wandering up to these falls at dark thirty in the morning.
