Waterfall Wednesday 8/7/2024

My waterfall for today is a small set of falls along the Sweet Creek trail in the Oregon coast range from a fall visit in 2018. Like most of the coastal mountains in this area the vegetation is quite dense and there are quite a few places where you can't see the creek at all from the trail in spite of it only being 10-20' away. You can hear water falling over some ledge but have no view if the scene at all. This set of falls had only glimpses of a view but I found a spot where I could shoot through the brush. I decided to try a 2 shot focus stack that I processed last night.

Many years ago I dabbled a bit with a Blue & Gold filter. It didn't last long though as the results I was getting were not quite what I expected. Perhaps I was using it on wrong subject. Here is one image with the filter. The effect has been toned down a bit however.

Singh-Ray had some images on their web site that made the filter seem compelling. I bought one too about 17 years ago and made several efforts to appreciate it but to no avail. Nice view of Palouse Falls.
