On Monday @Michael13 posted a nice travel guide for the waterfalls of the Columbia River Gorge. The one creek he didn't have shots for was Oneonta Creek. Oneonta Creek has two means of access - the Oneonta Gorge and a trail not far from Horsetail Falls. The Gorge got hit hard by the Eagle Creek Fire and multiple rock falls that haven't really stopped and is closed to hikers. The trail leading to the middle and upper falls is listed as open on the USFS web site although I have not hiked it in years myself. I have been up the trail before and this is a shot of the Middle Oneonta Falls from a mid summer visit in 2008. This would have been a good candidate for Michael's early morning visits because the sun exposure makes for some pretty difficult lighting contrasts.

Add whatever you have for falling water :)

Thanks for that image, Alan. It's been over 20 years since I hiked that one!

Here's a zoomed in shot of Bridal Veil Falls in the Columbia River Gorge. This view shows how the course of the creek twists after the first drop.

Nice view of Bridal Veil - I like the zoomed in look and the early light you prefer for the scene.

I have bought a second hand iPhone (14Pro) and have been experimenting with it. It has rained recently so I made a quick visit to a local river to see if I could persuade my phone to take longish exposure waterfall images. This is as good as I have got so far 0.5s. Ken

That's quite nice for an iPhone shot - did you use a tripod or something to brace it against for stabilization or is this just handheld?

Tripod with a polariser and 6 stopND filter. I bought a plastic bit that allows me to fit filters. Strange looking phone with 84mm filters in front. I have been experimenting with stacking multiple images but not ready to show them yet. Ken

Ken - did you use Adobe's Project Indigo on your iPhone to take this shot? Your description of using real shutter speeds on a tripod seem to line up with what Adobe's new photo app can do.
