Previously known as Sylvia communis but now called Curruca communis.
From Wikipedia "The common whitethroat or greater whitethroat (Curruca communis) is a common and widespread typical warbler which breeds throughout Europe and across much of temperate western Asia. This small passerine bird is strongly migratory, and winters in tropical Africa, Arabia, and Pakistan."

What a interesting bird. It's kind of mind blowing how birds are able to migrate each year like this.

Great photos!

Neat little birds - not one I have seen before.
Thanks Alan, unless you travel to this side of the pond I don't think there's much chance of you seeing one

Wikipedia doesn't report on how beautiful your images are Kevin 😀 😀 .
Thanks Trent, they're an attractive bird with a loud song.
