Why New Plantings Have Serious Competition

"What are the entree specials on the buffet today?" :)

Unfortunately for your new plants this little specimen knows where to look for the tender young offerings.

That's funny, but cool too! It's neat you have moose right there on your property, but your roses may not make it past lunch.

I wonder if yoh would have to get larger Rose bushes to plant? Maybe the thorns would be enough to discourage them?

Possibly. He only went after the flowering one, not the smaller ones.

great photos! i'd take the moose over the roses. you can always have indoor house plants, but i wouldn't recommend an indoor moose.

It's kind of interesting: some of the neighbors are really into the moose while others really don't like them, think there are too many. 24 were introduced to Colorado in 1978 & 1979 from Utah & Wyoming. Some were moved around within Colorado and more transplanted 2005-2010 and by 2012 there were 2300.
