there always seems to be more interaction in these "wild" horses - there are so many stallions and they set up pecking orders and everybody takes part in the drama - in domestic herds not many if any stallions just geldings and they seem to get along without the testosterone

Love these Marcy. Horses trigger a primordial-like feeling in me, maybe I watched to many westerns when I was young...

Hey Marcy,

These are awesome, especially #2. What great positioning of the horses in that one.

Darcy is going to be sad she has missed this one since she does so much with Wild Horses in the Las Vegas area. She is on vacation right now, and hopefully she can see this next week when she gets back home.

OMG I love love the McCullough Peaks wild horses :), they have some of the best looking herds. Great captures Marcy, I am so very jealous as our herd here is pretty much gone! The Blue Roan in the 1st pic is totally amazing and of course I love love paints. The McCullogh Peaks horses have a lot of color to them! The second pic is a beautiful composition.

Incredible photography, Marcy. You can tell that these are wild based on the numerous scars gained during fights to move up the pecking order.
