Had to wait a while for this bird to perch in the open. Then it took a while to decide what it was. Over here we have 2 very similar birds, the Willow Warbler, Phylloscopus trochilus, and the Chiffchaff, Phylloscopus collybita. It's fairly easy when they sing as the Willow Warbler is melodious and the Chiffchaff is a repetitious 'chiff chaff', from where it gets its name. Another major difference is the primary projection on the wings, which in the Willow Warbler is long, and in the ChiffChaff is short. The Willow Warbler is a long-distance migrator and the Chiffchaff isn't. I digress, here is an early morning light shot of the Willow Warbler, Phylloscopus trochilus
