Window to the World's Soul

At Arches National Park, as I was going around and enjoying the storm clouds I was in the Windows section as the clouds began to clear more. I walked up the Turret arch side of the trail once it splits, I could see dozens of peoples standing in and around the North Window, so I was focusing more on the Turret side. There is a small rise of land between Turret and the Windows and it rises higher as you walk along the Turret side. I noticed a cool cloud over the North Window and also noticed that just before it disappeared from view from that rise of land a really cool thing happened.

The rising of the land covered just enough where everyone was standing and at the point they were covered a small tree then placed itself in the window and also the cool cloud was lined up nicely. I thought it all worked and looked super cool. A different shot then normal of the North Window, but I like it.

The no touron effect is quite nice - and quite rare for that place anymore. I like the dark foreboding clouds behind the arch.

Thanks so much Alan, it was nice to get the tourists out of the shot, and they were blissfully unaware that I was getting a photo without them in it.

Thanks so much Larry. I don't get to Arches as much anymore as I used to go there all the time. But it's still enjoyable to swing in there once in a while, and it's nice to come up with something new.
