Thanks Douglas for posting while Eric is away. Love your owls shots. That Barn Owl is really an interesting pose.
I'm using shots taken yesterday as the spring migrants start to arrive. It has been crazy cold with snow and below freezing temperatures.
The Canada Geese have started their mating behaviour and loud honking.
I counted about 50 Gulls on the river. There is a mix of California and Ring-billed gulls.

A short trip into Southern Scotland to photograph Red Kites. They are beautiful birds at one point floating serenely along and then with a flick of their huge tail feathers they can change direction and accelerate to almost 100mph. Ken

Ken, these are wonderful shots of these Kites. I saw them when in Scotland a few years ago but was never able to get close enough to get decent shots.
