Today's Winged Wednesday we're finishing the alphabet project and today's letter is "Y." So, add your images of anything with wings that start with the letter "Y" in its name, species, or taxon. Of course, anything with wings is welcome regardless of the letter. Next week I will be posting the Great Egret.

The Yellow-eared Parrot is endemic to Columbia. They rely on the wax palm for its fruit, and to provide nest and roosting sites. This impressive palm, is the National tree of Colombia.

No Y's for me but some Rose Chavers (Cetonia aurata) from Austria. I am no bug expert so I may have the species wrong, if so please enlighten me. Ken
