My trip to Maine was primarily to photograph Puffins and other auks. However, bird songs filled the air and I was able to identify over a hundred species of songbirds and photograph 20 or so. So here are five warblers from Maine.

American Redstart - male

Chestnut-sided warbler - male

Northern Parula - male

Black-throated green warbler - male

Pine warbler - male

I saw quite a bit of activity on some Echinops blooms while picking blueberries yesterday morning so I grabbed my camera to catch this big bumbler and a honeybee working over the same bloom.

Those Echinops flowers are gorgeous. It's a treat to see a bumble bee and a honey bee on the same flower
