With new toy

Late yesterday afternoon I took a round-about way home down to pecan row south from Scott to try out a new lens.
Sigma 14-24 f/2.8 on my Canon 5DIV.
Man that sucker gives a wide view, and with very little distortion! From the near edge of the road, it caught more than the whole tree!
The light wasn't the greatest but the lens performed as advertised, or better! This at 24 mm, 160th sec, f/16 (check out the sunstar!).

Notable lack of distortion for 24mm and I do like the sun star. There are times when I would love to go wider than my Canon 17-40mm can handle.
I had the 17-40 several years ago, then tried the 16-35 f/4. This Sigma blows the doors off both, in distortion and sharpness! I can recommend it!! :)

That says a lot since the 17-40mm is known for being quite sharp.
I like the Sigma lenses so much that I now, as of this new addition last week, have 5 of them in my bag! The only Canon lens I have left is the 24 TSE!
I have found them to be as good or better than Canon glass, and always less expensive!! (always a good thing!)
