Yankee Boy Basin Storm

This was from last month in Yankee Boy Basin in SW Colorado just out of Ouray Colorado. It was storming and raining with thunder going off almost overhead. I had a short window when it was only slightly raining to photograph and video. In between I ran back into my Jeep to sit out the hail storms that came. But the awesome wildflowers were with getting a bit wet.

I am trying to process a few images before I assemble the Touring Video, so I can use them in the video.

The mood was great except for the lightning. I was half expecting a lightning bolt to hit 10 feet away.

Yep, that’s a waterfall back there. Actually there is 3 of them there, it’s a place you would love.
