Did I mention besides the nocturnal activities of the northern lights , the day light scenery is quite beautiful too and, I cought some nice fish!

Slave Lake is a huge lake 300 some miles long and 100 miles wide and goes up to the artic circle. The 6th largest fresh water lake.

Most taken with my phone, last 6 were taken with the T7

Reflections

Once I learn how to separate the forground from the backgound in editing, I plan to add a pretty blue sky in a couple of these.

Hey Ed,

I have been curious as to what there is to do up there during the day. Thanks for posting this.

I just got to Disneyland to spend a few hours, so I will look over this closer tonight.

That's a pretty serious body of water. Looks like a nice place to enjoy dinner and especially when it's this fresh. Neat set of images from your trip - thanks for sharing the views.

Actully, besides hiking or fishing/hunting, not much at all to do. Yellowknife, the largest town in the NWT is only 20000 people. 3 to 4 day trip is perfict. If I ever come back, I would rent a car to find dark sky sites to capture the norhther lights on my own. I went on a tour with maybe 10 to 15 other people operated by a local indigenous people (North Star Tours) and all the tour groups, which are many, tend to go to the same places. I would have perfered to had been alone, except for the wild bears and wolves etc that you have to watchout for
