Navajo landscape near Page, AZ

There is a small landscape area pull out on route 89 as you start your decent into Page, AZ known as little cut. There are many possible images here and this is one I took on an early morning just after sunrise.

I recognize the area Doug. The times I passed by this area was mostly mid day with harsh light and never bothered to stop and shoot. You had some nice light here.

Nice light for this view.

I used to drive US89 regularly as a USU college student driving back and forth from visiting my parents in Phoenix and know that view well. I don't think I ever drove past this spot at a time of day with good light.

Thanks for your input, Carlo. This is classic crack light. There was a small clear zone at the horizon when the sun rose which accentuated the color. Also, I was using Velvia 50 film which tends to increase the saturation even more. I actually reduced the saturation a little bit to get to this, but I understand that some photographers tend to be turned off by this amount of saturation.

Aaaah, Velvia ... I remember it. Used it a lot in my film days before going digital. That definitely explains the saturation
