I understand the back lighting and it works great, but the right flower is sharp at the bottom and the left flower at the top.

I have to agree with Ben, perhaps either more or less depth would have been best. How do you feel about the browns? For my own work, I try to stay away from them by changing the angle to where I'm not picking up the ground as my background. That can be difficult and I have composed a couple that have more brown than I would have liked.
