Last Of The Fall Colors In The Valley

I finally made it up to Yosemite Valley this morning. This taking about an hour after sunrise. Still a little color left, but it’s fading fast.

This has everything I like, sunstar, crisp reflection, fall colors, mountains, rays coming thru the trees and some afternoon haze. Damn...one of these days I will get an image like this!

The color might be fading but this still looks like something I could get excited to shoot. Amazing reflections pretty much double the extent of the color show. Nice work.

I have been watching the weather and wanting to make a run up for some fall color in Yosemite. There is supposed to be some clouds rolling back in on Wednesday, so maybe I will make a late drive up there Tuesday?

BTW, how do you get to it now? I was in the park last month and the road changes had me a bit confused.

The Yosemite overflow parking area is now finished. The current entrance is just before you get to the new roundabout. If you miss it, do a 360 in the roundabout and it'll be on the right.

Would love to BUT, am still working my day job . I will probably get there mid-Dec with BIL for a day or two.
I have gone to Jim's spot several times, with color AND with a touch of 1st snows.
Also gone in dead of winter too. It's a favorite for comp & color/reflections that's for sure.
