Thursday's Task - 10/12/2020

This is a variation on a task we had a while ago. This time I want you to show a typical image of a location and then show different perspectives of that location in your attempts to be creative.

Mine are from The Great Bend of the Colorado River near Page, AZ I have posted some of these previously as individual images. So don't let the fact that you have posted some of them before dissuade you from posting them here.

Here is the typical set-up location.

I don't have my full library with me, but here are some from the Vestrahorn in southeast Iceland...

1) The full view of the Vestrahown with reflection that I was after...

2) Some nice light zooming into the left side of the formation

3) Exploring the coast in the other direction...

4) My favorite image, also looking in the other direction

Beautiful work, Kyle. That last one is fantastic
I will use Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge for this.

The classic view:

Very cool idea Doug, and I like your variations of the normal view.

A few takes on my favorite little backyard mountain.

Mt. Pilchuck, taken near my house in Lake Stevens
Pilchuck-Sunrise_Pano-bw2.jpg

Sunset about half way up the trail looking back west to Lake Stevens, the closer golden glimmer, beyond is the Puget Sound and the distant Olympic range.

Sunset from the summit looking toward Everett, note the ships docked at the navy base. Lake Stevens at the bottom. My house is close to my signature.

Now for a winter/summer contrast of the summit lookout shelter. Also the ground/aerial view. Both shots are looking east.

In winter we can ski right up, but have to dig through ice to open the door.

Drone view in summer.

Late to the party (as usual -- someday I'll have a house that I'm all settled into.......)
Mesa Arch, as if it needed introduction.
conventional winter view

A more conventional view

And my favorite perspective, from a little slot to the right, straddling a block below the rim. Unfortunately, not a wise place to be when it's wet or snowy. And by now, maybe the block I sat on is gone? But one can always lie upside down with a partner holding onto ones ankles.........
