NGC 2736 The Pencil Nebula

NGC 2736 The Pencil Nebula I have read is a small part of a supernova remnant and is moving roughly at 644,000 kmh !
This target was taken over three nights all lit by an almost full moon and consists of 30 x 600s each of Ha and Oiii data
Skywatcher 8" f4 Quattro Newtonian
Skywatcher NEQ6 Pro hypertuned
Skywatcher Aplanatic Coma Corrector

It’s so amazing the detail you can get on a full moon Carlos. With my current setup with a stock DSLR and a Tamron 150-600mm I am not able to capture anything this delicate. I have been able to do wonders with tracking with the Skyguider Pro, but am ready to upgrade to either the Cem26 or Gem28 by ioptron. Maybe come spring time.

This is another nebula that’s turning into a favorite of mine to view.

Already jealous of whatever your latitude is as this object is one of the many Southern Sky wonders that is not visible from up here in CO (or likely anywhere in North America if I recall...) Great NB mix and details in this one - love it! Since it is a Bicolor I am assuming not really enough SII in this to bother with that filter?

Hi Mike! I'm at 31.7S and I must admit we do get some juicy targets haha! Yes hardly any signal in Sii for me even at 900s so I didn't bother proceeding.
