Bullock's Oriole in my Palo Verde Tree (before and after processing).

For the last week this oriole has been plucking flowers off of my Palo Verde tree for the nectar. I have been trying to get a decent image of him amongst the branches and flowers with little success. Palo Verde trees are loaded with branches large and small as well as thousands of flowers so there are few places with openings for a clear image of any bird in the tree. I took hundreds of images in my attempt to capture a clear image and this is the only one I got after working on the image for more than an hour to remove distracting objects.

And what a cool bird, I sure wish we could get cool looking birds in SoCoal. All we seem to have a seagulls and crows.
