Crepuscular Rays Can Creep Up on You

Most of you have seen my recent thread from the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah of the Anti-Crepuscular Rays I had at sunset. On this particular evening the Crepuscular Rays made a valiant attempt to join in on the sunset also. While not quite as a vivid they also gave a pleasing show. The light is different since this is facing the sun now, and the light angles are different.

All comments are welcome.

Jim

PS. I didn't post this one to be in a contest with the Anti-Crepuscular Ray image, but since some people weren't familiar with these, it was more to show the difference between the two Crepuscular Ray types. :)

Both of your shots are really good examples of Crepuscular Rays. Looks like you had a lot of fun with the salt polygons.

Thanks Alan.

Yeah, these are the best Salt polygons I have seen in a few years. The last couple of years in Death Valley the polygons were a bust mainly, not well formed or defined at all. So it was really nice to see these.
