NGC 4725

Hot off the keyboard is NGC 4725. Because of massive cloud cover for the last two
months, it’s taken me almost three months to finish this project !
This Galaxy only has one arm which wraps around the central region several times.
I really like it’s tiny friends too !

Here’s some more info.

NGC 4725 is an intermediate barred spiral galaxy with a prominent ring structure,[9] located in the northern constellation of Coma Berenices near the north galactic pole.[10] It was discovered by German-born astronomer William Herschel on April 6, 1785.[11] The galaxy lies at a distance of approximately 40 megalight-years[4] from the Milky Way.

Wow!!! This is so amazing! I don’t think I know of this one. It’s so cool and I like it’s friends!

That’s a lot of patience to have to wait 3 months to finish this!

Wow, that is a great job - very cool object! Love the coloring and fainter details your processing has managed to pull out. How do you like the MyT? I love mine :)
