Low Tide Sunrise

I love shooting sunrises along the Oregon coast during low tides when you can get lots of reflections in between the waves. This is such a shot from Harris Beach near Brookings. This particular morning was unusual in that the sunrise colors were happening above the cloud layer instead of underneath the clouds. It was a good morning to be out.

Thanks Ben - I do plan trips like this one based on tides vs. the dates. My ideal sun angles and weather patterns favor Nov. - March for this area and I also consider whether I want the lowest tide to favor sunrises or sunsets. This was trip was planned specifically for sunrise shooting sessions and I was staying in the local park campground so an easy walk to this beach.

Thanks Tim - I was mostly set up for the distant colors but was shooting to catch different wave inclusions. I liked the balance of this combination too.
