I am amazed that you can keep adding to the image after such a long time. Wish I could do this with landscapes.

That's what is nice about astro stuff. I will not get any more on this object. I don't have that many clear nights.

Stunning image. I have to echo Ben's comment about being able to add to an image like this. For coastal subjects I can't even shoot back to back shots because of the waves and forestland shots have moving branches in the wind.

Yes it's pretty cool you can do that. I can add more 5 years from now.
The Elephant Trunk to me is one of the Top 10 nebula and always a joy to see! That’s awesome you were able to add more detail to this. That’s where using a zoom lens probably hurts me as I don’t always use the same focal length, I need to work on being more consistent with that.

Thanks Mike, when I first started this image in 2019 I processed it really dark, adding the 3 hours of data really help with the processing.
