The Edge of the Fog

Fog rolled into Brookings a couple of days ago and pretty much wiped out any views but there were some breaks where the fog would pull back from the shoreline which allowed me to launch my drone for a look around. This is one view of the scene. Normally I clone out houses when they intrude in a scene but I decided to leave these beachside hovels in the image.

Thanks Ben - I hear you on those houses. With decks that have a direct view out over the Pacific.

Thanks Jameel - I liked the way the sea stacks kind of poke through the edge of the fog. When the fog moved directly overhead (it was most of the day) you couldn't see much of anything and I couldn't fly.

I think the houses make the image in this case. I am like you though, I try to avoid or will clone out a house or two if needed, but in this case, the houses really add to this image.

Did you fly closer to the sea stacks? That would have looked really cool seeing the sea stacks being about to be swallowed by the low clouds while there was clear blue skies above the clouds.

Thanks Jim - the fog was moving in and out quickly so I didn't get much time in the air before I had to land. I can see where you could stay up above the fog and fly around but a zero visibility landing would concern me.
