Waterfall Wednesday 7/6/2022

I was exploring the Columbia River Gorge with my drone a couple of days ago and found waterfalls I never knew about before at Cape Horn. Columbia River watermen and railroad engineers certainly have seen them but most of us would never have a clue to their existence. There is a loop trail at Cape Horn that leads to Cape Horn Falls (my actual target with this flight) but there is no place on land besides trespassing on BNSF rails that will let you see this scene. Not sure this set of falls runs all year but I will be revisiting now that I know where they are. Sorry I didn't time my visit for the trains - it would be neat to catch a BNSF locomotive poking out of the tunnel.

Aysgarth Falls in North Yorkshire. Very low water levels but this allowed me to wander around the various sub falls. I include a couple of images from a previous visit when the water was a raging torrent. Ken

Previous trip
I like the low water flow scenes of the cascades in these falls - lots more interesting details compared to the torrential flows in the last two images. Neat place to shoot.
