Took a impromptu trip back in Oct....originally was going to go camp in Alabama hills and schlep around for a few days...While driving, I just imagined the whole drive, the turns the places etc...and wasn't feeling it...more like... "ehhh I don't wanna go there"...so when I reached California city, swung left...took the hwy to i5...and just kept driving North...had no destination in mind...just kept going...ended up in Shasta...and does Mt. Shasta look boring without snow on it. Opened up the map and looked for what's around there...took a trip to Burney Falls...def gotta come back to it...now what...open map again...oh look...Klamath Falls...for some reason I confused that name with some other waterfall...and drove to Klamath falls...to realize there is no waterfall in Klamath falls...big DOH!! open map again...oh lookie...Crater lake is only an hour...so here we go. Enjoyed the rim drive, relaxed, soaked up the Sun...nice pulled pork sammich in that restaurant at the entrance.
Found out it was gonna be full moon ! YAY me...and here we are...and then after shooting this...drove 11 hours back home...

I did go back 6 weeks later...but that's another story for another time...

Love the impromptu destination lottery approach - great backstory to go along with a pretty neat composition. Well done.

Awesome Sunny! This is a great view of Crater Lake. I haven't been there in a long time, and have been wanting to get back there this last year, but just hasn't worked out. So great job on just following your intuition.

Keep them coming! :)
