Thanks Alan, Ben, Jim, Leslie, Barry and Mike. Glad you enjoyed. It is great to see these creatures in the wild and very interesting to see which species mixes easily with others. Often, I gather, it's to do with competition for food - so giraffes are fairly cool! It may be Zebra for dessert, Mike, but apparently the lovely waterbuck is a favourite prey of lions in Kruger Park!

What a waterbuck!!! I've never seen such an impressive male specimen. His horns are KILLER!

Image MIGHT be oversharpened as it looks a little crunchy and there might be some color noise present. I'll PM you a quick rework for illustration.

Kruger is a wonderful place, particularly if you self-drive, as there is such a magnificent range of wild animals and opportunities to photograph them - both in poses such as this and also as in going about their daily business such as lions stalking warthogs (the warthogs escaped) and a leopard kill hung up in a tree!

Thanks for the rework. I like your softening of the sky and the foliage, but like the original sharpening on the Waterbuck's coat, so I might rework a version including both. Thanks again!

I agree with Jeff. Definitely some noise in the sky. I'd be interested in seeing Jeff's version if the 2 of you wouldn't mind posting it. Maybe there's something in-between for the Waterbuck's & zebras' coats?

I've never seen a waterbuck (or, honestly, even heard of them), so it's a wonderful expansion of my somewhat limited world - thanks, Martin!
